We realized that for the past few months our ISOs were not working on real hardware to boot into the live environment. Users will be faced with this message:
I test every ISO in a VM (I am limited by resources and time) and usually this test is good enough. But well, sometimes it is not.
This seems to be a Manjaro issue and their team is trying to figure out a solution for it. More here.
The most recent TROMjaro ISO that works well is the one we released at the end of March.
Since then there have been a few changes that you will have to do manually for this release. Like moving to a new LTS Kernel and such.
See what changed for TROMjaro 2026.05.08, TROMjaro 2026.05.20 (security patches) - not much really. You can safely use this working ISO and then keep the system updated and that’s all.
