Authentification fail for add/ remove updates

Hello,

I get an error message (authentification failed - I am confident i am inserting the correct password) when attempting to apply all app updates.

sudo pacman -Syu

what to do?

Sorry for the late reply. I saw this on another machine but never on mine…

If you reboot will it work? Let me know so we can go from there on.

EDIT: Also see this Pamac upgrade -a and package manager: authentication failed without even typing my password - #2 by Aragorn - Software & Applications - Manjaro Linux Forum

thanks @Tio I think it maybe a disk storage issue, I have cleaned it up and it seems to be ok.

I have tried manjaro forums and most suggest force refresh but this did not work.
I have tried AI recommendations:
deleting cache
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/pacman/sync/extra.db

wiping sync directory
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/pacman/sync/*

ignoring package
sudo pacman -Syu --ignore linux66-nvidia-580xx-open-580.159.03-2

disabling and then enabling chatoic AUR in config
sudo nano /etc/pacman.conf

Any suggestions?

Have you tried this - Warning: config file /etc/pacman.conf ‘SyncFirst’ in section ‘options’ not recognised - #6 by robin0800 - Support - Manjaro Linux Forum ?

Specifically - Warning: config file /etc/pacman.conf ‘SyncFirst’ in section ‘options’ not recognised - #7 by nikgnomic - Support - Manjaro Linux Forum

Solved! All up to date now, not sure what i did but today i ran:
sudo pacman - Syu
